Spin Transport and
Dynamics in Nanostructures
May 6-8, 2005
This workshop addresses recent work on spin transport and dynamics
in semiconductor and metallic nanostructures. The environment
for electron spins in these systems can be carefully controlled,
and a detailed understanding of effects such as hyperfine interactions
and spin-orbit coupling is emerging from recent experimental and
theoretical work. This workshop will gather approximately 30 theorists
and experimentalists for 2-1/2 days of invited talks and discussions
of recent results in the field.
