The "Gravititional Waves" workshop will bring together both theorists and experimentalists with a wide range of expertise to discuss the status of current and future gravitational-wave detectors, results of recent searches for gravitational-wave signals, and the interplay between theory and ongoing and future experiments.

Topics to be covered at the workshop include:

    Numerical Relativity
    Ground-based gravitational-wave detectors
Results of searches for gravitational-wave signals
    Satellite-based gravitational-wave detectors
    Third-generation ground-based gravitational-wave detectors
    Pulsar timing and gravitational waves
    Astrophysical and cosmological sources
    Tests of relativity
    Tests of short-range gravity

By bringing together theorists and experimentalists from diverse subfields we hope to stimulate discussion and inspire forward-looking research in the field of gravitational waves.

The workshop is sponsored by the William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute and organized with the Cosmology Group in the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Minnesota.

Participation in the event is by invitation only. We welcome and encourage participation by graduate students. Please contact us with any questions by email at gw2010 (@)
