We are proud to announce the workshop, “Low-Dimensional Quantum Gases out of Equilibrium” sponsored by the William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute (FTPI) at the University of Minnesota. This exciting event will be held in Minneapolis from Friday, May 11, to Sunday, May 13, 2012.
The workshop will cover novel experimental and theoretical developments in fabrication, probing and understanding of low-dimensional cold atomic systems. The goal of the workshop is to bring together a small group of the world’s most active researchers in the field for about 25 invited talks. We aim to make the meeting attractive to both theorists and experimentalists, with the primary goal of stimulating discussions and promoting interactions among the participants.
Participation in the event is by invitation only. We welcome participation of graduate students. Please contact us with any questions by email at disequilibrium (at) physics.umn.edu.
**PLEASE NOTE: the workshop dinner will be held on Friday, May 11, not Saturday as originally stated.
